SPANISH I

 

 

Class Objective:

  • To understand most Spanish at a slower pace than normal.

  • To ask and answer questions on a variety of everyday topics.

  • To develop writing skills and reading skills that will be the same as speaking skills.

  • To obtain a knowledge of the culture.

 

Attendance:

  • Attendance is important, and attendance will be taken at the beginning of the class period.

  • You will be expected to take responsibility for your class attendance, participation, completing all assignments, and tests.

 

Grading will be done in two parts:

TEST: 60% OF GRADE

a) Written test b) Oral test c) Listening test
- Tests will be given throughout each semester.

  • Test will cover material presented in the book, class, and lecture.

  • Workbook exercises, daily assignments, handouts, and notes. *Amounts will vary.

 

DAILY ASSIGNMENTS AND PARTICIPATION: 40% OF GRADE

  • Workbook exercises, daily assignments, and group assignments. *Amounts will vary.

  • Your grade will be based on the percentage of the total points one can accumulate by the end of each semester.

 

 

A=100%-90%
B=89%-80%
C=79%-70%
D=69%-60%
F=59%-0%

  • Make-up tests will be allowed only after discussion with the teacher.

  • These tests will be taken at the earliest time available.

  • It will be the responsibility of the student to take the initiative to notify the teacher the desire to make up the test.

  • It is the responsibility of the student to make up any assignments not completed during the week, if the student is absent for whatever reason.

    If you need help, I will help you!!

    Be prepared for class. Each student needs their book, paper, and a pencil everyday.

    Everything must be done in pencil, no pens!!!!
