Course Objectives:
The successful student will develop an intermediate expansion proficiency level in the language by engaging in a variety of communicative activities that focus on developing reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in Spanish. in addition, the student will develop cultural awareness and become prepared to encounter real life situations outside of the classroom through discussions of cultural customs and behavior. 3 ring binder- 1" (for daily notes)
Loose leaf notebook paper
Pen, pencil, 1 highlighter
SE PUNCTUAL-BE PUNCTUAL. Be in your seat before the tardy bell rings with your materials and ready to work. You may use the restroom between classes.
SE POSITIVO-BE POSITIVE. Learning a language can become frustrating, buta positive approach can go a long way and help you succeed
PARTICIPA EN CLASE- PARTICIPATE IN CLASE. Speak Spanish, stay on task and pay lots of attention as I will do my best to simplify all learning material.
SE RESPETUOSO-BE RESPECTFUL. I will model respect at all times and expect you to respect yourself, classmates and myself
COMPARTATE BIEN-BE WELL BEHAVED. If the unlikely occurs, I will take care of it in house before going to see our Principal. Rudeness and disrespect will not be tolerated.d
NO MOVIL- NO CELL PHONE. Since students will have their cell phones turned off and put away during class, your parents may call the office in case of emergencies
Grades: the grading scale is outlined in district handbook. Students will be assessed by completion of daily work, active participation,homework,projects, and oral or written tests.
Attendence/Tardies: Attendance is imperative. Daily active participation and repetition is essential to learn a second language. Missed work must be made up within district handbook time allowed.
Binder/Folder: It is primarily for your daily notes, tests, and quizzes. There will be atleast 1 grade per semester.
***NO SPIRAL NOTEBOOK PAPER IN CLASS***
