COMPETENCE STATEMENT: Students enrolled in psychology will be able to understand the study of psychology and its implications through a wide range of tasks, purposes, and activities. Students will gain knowledge through project-based learning, computer programs, classroom lectures, and student activities.

GRADING POLICY:

 

Students are expected to have all assignments completed and ready to submit to the teacher when the assignments are due. NO LATE WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED. All students are responsible for handing in all assignments without the teacher verbally instructing them to do so each time an assignment is due. School policy regarding make up work will be implemented.

CLASS RULES:

 

Students are to be prepared for class each day. All electronic devices are prohibited unless the use of such is approved by the instructor. Students must bring all necessary supplies to class each day. Students are expected to exhibit acceptable behavior on a daily basis.

 

DISCIPLINE:

 

1st offense: verbal warning.

2nd offense: Written warning will be given to the student.

3rd offense: Student will be assigned to mandatory 7:30 a.m. detention.

4th offense: Removal from the class and a mandatory conference with parent or guardian to develop a student contract regarding behavior.

 

ANY STUDENT WHO CHOOSES TO MISBEHAVE MAY BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY FROM THE CLASSROOM AT ANY TIME THAT THE STUDENT'S BEHAVIOR IS INTERFERING WITH THE TEACHING OR LEARNING PROCESSES.
